As April sun and rain showers nourish the earth in our part of the world, we anticipate another year where that which was planted will soon bring a harvest - as a feast for our eyes or literal feasts of healthy produce.

It is in this season, I have sensed a fresh whisper from the Holy Spirit reminding me, do not run when it gets uncomfortable, embrace the season, bloom where you are planted.

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.  They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes;  its leaves are always green.  It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”  Jeremiah 17:7-8.

As we remember our many global partnerships in places like Cambodia, Mexico, Sierra Leone, Philippines, and refugee communities, let's pray that they will have the endurance and grace to continue flourishing, harvesting, and blooming - where they are planted, bearing fruit for the Kingdom.
